A ledger that closes itself, every day
A real double-entry general ledger built to IFRS. Invoices, bills, bank lines and payroll post balanced journals the moment they happen, so month-end is a review, not a project.
How it works
- 1
Everything posts as it happens
Every document creates a balanced journal with a link back to its source, so nothing waits for month-end.
- 2
Recurring work runs daily
Depreciation, prepaid releases, accruals and bank matching run on their own every day.
- 3
Review, then lock
On the 1st you check the flagged movements, sign off the checklist and lock the period.
Inside Continuous close ledger
UAE chart of accounts
A ready chart of accounts for UAE companies, with VAT and corporate tax accounts mapped from day one.
Close checklist
A shared month-end checklist with owners, automatic tasks and a clear status for every company.
Flux review
Month-on-month changes above your threshold are flagged with an explanation before you close.
Locked periods
Closed months are locked. Changes after close need a reopening that is recorded in the audit log.
Multi-currency
Foreign-currency invoices and bank accounts revalue in AED at the rates you choose.
Manual journals
Balanced journals with a reason and attachments, posted by people with permission.
Questions
Is this a full accounting system or a reporting layer?
A full system. Accountly is the general ledger itself, with sales, purchases, bank, payroll and tax built in.
Can we bring our history from another system?
Yes. You can import opening balances and your chart of accounts, and keep older years in your previous system for reference.
Who can change a closed month?
Only people with the close permission can reopen a period, and every reopening is logged with a reason.
